For Nigerian fashion designer, Viola Kabiri of Vivi Kabiri fame, fashion is an expression of African artistry and multicultural ethnicity of the African continent.

Speaking at the Ibadan Bridal Fashion Weekend show where some of his works were exhibited, the creative director of Vivi Kabiri revealed how his brand promotes the uniqueness of the African heritage in clothing and textiles both in Nigeria and the world.

“My brand is an expression of African artistry. It is a global brand that you can wear anywhere, but the heritage is from Africa, showcasing it to the world. We are coming up with multiple colours, so we’re trying to bring out the multicultural ethnicity in Africa, and that’s what we are exhibiting,” he said.

On his latest collection, Kabiri stated, “The Ignite Collection is special, they are stunning pieces crafted with details.”

The designer cum project manager highlighted an array of activities lined up for the brand at Yuletide. “We have lots of activities lined up for the 2023 Christmas season. We’re coming up with new designs and we intend producing ready-to-wear outfits that we can ship out of the country, because of the growing demand from people who have placed orders.”
