Nollywood actor Uzor Arukwe has broken his silence over what he described as “false rumours and baseless accusations” linking him to the alleged marital crisis between reality TV star Bambam and her husband, Teddy A.
The controversy, which gained traction on social media, appears to have stemmed from Arukwe’s professional collaboration with Bambam in the 2025 YouTube film Love In Every Word, a project that went viral shortly after its release.
In a strongly worded statement, Arukwe warned that those behind the rumours would face consequences, revealing that a particular social media account had already been identified.
“A specific account has been identified to spread false rumours and baseless accusations about me and my professional engagement with another colleague in the industry,” he wrote.
The actor said he deliberately chose not to publicise the handle in question.
“I choose not to quote the account directly, as I refuse to give such accounts the engagement they seek at the risk of jail time,” he added.

Clearly angered by the allegations, Arukwe vowed to make an example of the culprit.
“Believe me when I say this: that individual will be made a scapegoat so others learn to respect boundaries and refrain from chasing clout and Elon Musk money at the expense of damaging someone else’s reputation,” he stated.
The rumours surfaced amid speculation that Bambam and Teddy A’s marriage was facing strain, with some online commentators suggesting that her on-screen chemistry with Arukwe may have triggered tension at home.
While Bambam has remained largely silent, sharing only a video on social media without directly addressing the controversy, Teddy A has previously dismissed domestic violence allegations against him, describing them as false.
For Arukwe, however, the issue goes beyond gossip. Insiders say the actor is determined to protect his reputation and draw a clear line between professional acting roles and private lives.
In an industry where social media narratives can spiral quickly, his message was unambiguous: defamation will not go unanswered.
