From Stanley Uzoaru, Owerri
The Imo State All Progressives Youth Congress (APC) Youth Leader, Franklin Chukwuemeka Ibeh, has said the massive support for the APC in Imo is a direct result of Governor Hope Uzodimma’s empowerment and development programmes.
Ibeh, who is also a member of the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), said the governor’s human capital development, youth empowerment schemes, and community-based projects have made the APC the most accepted party at the grassroots.
Illustrating the dominance of the party, he said: “In a family of 10 people, nine are APC members.”
He spoke while hosting APC youth leaders from across the state at his country home in Isiala Mbano Local Government Area. He said Uzodimma’s interventions in economic empowerment, infrastructure and youth development have not only strengthened the party’s structures in communities but, also, made its impact felt in households across the state.
Chukwuemeka maintained that the administration’s focus on grassroots engagement and creating opportunities for economic independence has improved the connection between government and the people.
He expressed optimism that the goodwill would translate into massive votes for the APC in 2027, predicting that President Bola Tinubu would win over 80 percent of votes cast in Imo in the presidential election scheduled for January 16, 2027.
He said Imo people have come to appreciate the benefits of playing national politics, noting that it was Uzodimma’s political smartness in aligning with the APC that attracted federal dividends of democracy to the state.
The youth leader said Imo people would reward the ruling party by voting massively for Tinubu and all other APC candidates in the 2027 general elections.
