International and national conference speakers, including Prof. Utomi, Dr Dan Okehi, Dr. Joe Emeson, Dr. Charles Khiran, Mr. Tunde Bamgboye and Mrs Monisola Adedayo will facilitate a three-day Brickred leadership programme.

The programme meant for human resource executives and permanent secretaries in the private and public sector in Nigeria will take place in Akwa Ibom State from July 14 to 16 and in Lagos State from July 20 to 22, respectively.

Themed, ‘Training-the-Trainers, Reengineering Human Resources Executive/Permanent Secretaries to Lead Strategic, Transformational Change in Nigerian Institutions,’ Dr Okehi, who is also the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Brickred Consult Limited and Convener of the programme, emphasised that the participant would be exposed to how to strengthen transformational leadership capacity, reposition human resources as a strategic driver of institutional performance and build capacity in managing complex organisational change.

He reiterated that the programme would revolve around transformational leadership, leadership paradoxes and organisational dynamics, including organisational transformational process, reengineering and general leadership as well as cross-functional influence.

Brickred Consult Limited is an international consultancy and insurance management company based in Lagos, Nigeria. It specialises in financial consultancy, human resource development, risk management, and insurance management services.

It is known for its transformational leadership and strategic management training programme as it helps corporate institutions improve performance, manage risks and achieve sustainable growth.

In a related development, Brickred Consult in collaboration with West African Insurance Companies Association (WAICA) will be organising a three-day masterclass on upstream and offshore energy insurance programmes in Lagos.

The programme, which will be held from July 27 to 29, will have a globally renowned expert in oil and gas energy insurance and author of a leading book on upstream and offshore energy insurance, David Sharp and Dr Okehi as the lead facilitators.

The programme is for oil and gas companies, insurance and reinsurance companies, insurance brokers, loss adjusters, content lawyers, Nigerian Content Development and Monitory Board (NCDMB) and regulators, as well as energy and risk managers.

According to the organisers, the fulcrum of the three-day programme would revolve around practical understanding of energy exploration risks, including what underwriters insure during drilling operations, reservoir penetration activities, drilling circulation system, causes of kicks and blowouts, operators extra expense coverage and the evolution of energy and development (EED 8/88) policy wordings.

Others, he said, are understanding how underwriters structure and evaluatie control of well insurance, including drilling extra expenses, sea-page and pollution, clean-up and contamination liabilities, major risks considerations, premium rating method and key underwriting factors.

According to Brickred Consult and WAICA, participants would be exposed to how to develop the ability to assess energy risks and understand applicable insurance policies’ conditions and clauses. “This will enable them to gain a clear understanding of FPSO function and components, including the management of subsea, umbilical, risers and flow-lines (SURF) in offshore operations and the risks across LNG pipeline and tankers, including hull and liability exposures,” the organisers stated.

Brickred Consult Limited is an international consultancy and insurance management company based in Lagos, Nigeria. It also specialises in financial consultancy, human resource development, risk management and insurance management services.

WAICA on the other hand is a regional body established to promote cooperation, capacity development and best practices within the insurance industry across West Africa.
