US-based singer, producer and disc jockey, Derek San Vincente (DJ Power) will today, kick off a musical tour of Nigeria.
According to the promoter, Baroque Works Studios, the tour is being organised in conjunction with CEOAfrica, Paparazzi Visibility Concepts, and Keter Africa Energy Ltd.
DJ Power will hold his first performance in Nigeria at Good Beach for Gray Tiger Entertainment’s ‘Gray Control 6’. This is even as he has concluded plans to partner various stakeholders to combat the menace of climate change.
DJ Power, who recently collaborated with Reekado Banks for his new single, Choose to Lie, said he’s ready for more collaboration with some of Nigeria’s A-list artistes.
“I have always been captivated by Africa’s rich musical heritage. I duly recognise Nigeria’s pivotal role in shaping the global music landscape. I am eager to personally explore the country’s lively music culture and establish meaningful collaborations with Nigerian music stars and other key industry players. My goal is to create groundbreaking tracks that will resonate with audiences worldwide, showcasing the essence of Afrobeats,” he declared.
On his plans to employ creativity as a veritable tool in the fight against climate change, DJ Power said, “We all have a responsibility to conserve our environment and mitigate the impact of greenhouse gases on our ecosystem. Together we can use music to change our world for the best.”
