Speaking on the composition of the Board, the UNIZIK Vice Chancellor, said the board comprises strategic partners, friends, alumni and staff of the university vested with the task of its advancement.

“The board should see to the university advancement to help us attract funds, develop projects and bring friends and well -wishers to be partners with us.

“They are usually for the advancement of the university in all spheres. Because of infrastructure and scholarship, some of them can endow funds or make donations like this building here and other surrounding ones. Some patrons did that too.

“As whether this board will succeed, he said “Am a child of God, believe in God. He has never failed me. This starting shows that God’s hand is in it. We may not achieve all our expectations but failure is full far away from our vision,” he said.

In his acceptance remarks, the Board Chairman, Chairman of Stanel Group, Dr Stanley Uzochukwu, commended the Vice-Chancellor’s foresight, noting that enduring institutions are built on visionary leadership and collective commitment to a shared purpose.

Dr Uzochukwu said he will bring strategic thinking, bold partnerships, and a relentless drive for excellence in the university’s Advancement Board

“As I take on this role, I do not come with titles, I come with responsibility. Because we must think bigger. We must build a university that does not just produce graduates… But produces global change makers. A university that does not just follow trends… But sets them. A university that does not just grow…but transforms lives, industries, and nations.

“And as a co-host in this mission of advancement, I see my role clearly, to connect vision with execution. To bridge academia with industry. To turn ideas into impact. But let me be clear, this is not a one-man journey.

“This is a collective assignment. And if we truly rise to it if we bring our resources, our influence, our ideas, and our commitment together. Then years from now, history will not just remember that we served… It will remember that we changed everything.

“So today, let this inauguration not end as a ceremony. Let it begin as a movement. A movement of bold thinkers, a movement of committed builders, and a movement of people who refused to let greatness remain potential… and instead made it reality. Together, we will not just advance this university, we will elevate it to a standard the world cannot ignore,” Stanel CEO concluded.
