Jumez International football club, during the week, showed supremacy at the ongoing United Football Championship staged at Legacy Pitch, Surulere, Lagos.

The club, which banked on Daniel Anthony and Kobokoking Benjamin strike, started their campaign with a 2-0 victory over De Elite FC. The duo who netted in the 42nd and 61st minutes of the game, further proved their worth by receiving accolades from spectators and organizers.

Lanky goal poacher, Benjamin, bagged the Man of the match (MOTM) award for his excellent work rate and top notch goal. Reacting to that, Benjamin dedicated the award to his team mates While inspiring them for more victory in the season.

“Today’s game is no doubt a tough one. I didn’t find it easy playing against our rival. I’m confident we have what it takes to win the season and I’m sure my team mates won’t relent also.”

“Having bagged the MOTM award, I won’t relent in making sure I improve my game. I’ll be dedicating this to my team mate for without them, I’m nothing on the pitch. The season is still young. We have many games to play and I’m sure they’re all battle ready.”

“I’m urging our fans to keep supporting us for we still have a long way to go in this tournament. Teams are poised to challenge us for glory and I’m sure success will be ours at the end of the championship,” he stated.

More duels will kick off today at same venue as the league climax in match day 2.
