The management of Osun State University (UNIOSUN), on Tuesday, disclosed that the number of prospective students on the university’s portal has reached 23,400.
The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof Odunayo Adebooye, who disclosed this at a press briefing in Osogbo main campus, stated that over 12,084 applicants have processed the Post-UTME.
He noted that the patronage is huge, disclosing that another 27 new programmes have been accredited including 18 undergraduates and 9 postgraduate courses.
Prof Adebooye also disclosed that the university will hold White Coat Ceremony for medical students commencing clinical education.
“The university has commenced the process for the admission of new students for the 2022/2023 academic session on Monday 31st October 2022.
“We will hold the first White Coat Ceremony in the history in the history of medical education in Nigeria for our medical students.”
Also, the university stated that two of its students, Obayomi Suliat a 400-level and Mojoro Afolakemi a 300-level student of Food Science and Technology emerged overall winners of the 2022 year edition organized by the National Institute of Food Science and Technology.
