The national convention of the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus 1989 Law Class will hold between Thursday, August 22 and Sunday, August 25, 2024 in Lekki, Lagos.
According to a press statement signed by the Chairman, Local Organising Committee, Chief Ike Onwuchuluba, the four-day event, tagged: “ Eko2024” is a family centered annual get together of the members of the 1989 Law Class of the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus with their families. This year’s Convention, whose theme is “soaring to greater heights”, is billed to have human rights activist, Mr. Femi Falana (SAN) as the guest speaker at the dinner, which holds on Saturday, August 24, 2024. According to the statement, the maiden edition started at Asaba, Delta State in 2009, and since then, the convention has been held across different cities across Nigeria and outside the shores of this country including Abuja, Uyo, Port Harcourt, Enugu, Lagos, Dubai, United Kingdom and the United States of America. “The programme of events includes the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Class, visit to iconic tourist recreational facilities in Lagos, sports activities, visit to various motherless babies homes by the spouses and children of the class mates, dinner, pep talk and will be rounded off with a thanksgiving mass at the Catholic Church of Divine Mercy, Lekki Phase 1, Lekki, Lagos on Sunday, August 25,” the statement noted.
