The United Kingdom Nollywood Producers’ Guild (UKNPG) recently held the investiture of the newly elected executive committee. The event marked a significant milestone in the growth and development of the Nollywood community in the country. Members, community leaders, creative veterans and stakeholders dedicated to promoting excellence, collaboration and innovation within the UK film industry were in attendance.

The ceremony brought together producers, directors, actors and creatives, reflecting the guild’s commitment to nurturing talent, fostering collaboration and elevating the profile of Nollywood in the UK. Highlights of the evening included a keynote speech by the guild’s president, Tolu Yesufu, who emphasized transparency, shared vision and the importance of building a strong, structured community for industry stakeholders
Guests also enjoyed networking opportunities and a showcase of selected projects from the guild’s producers, reinforcing the guild’s dedication to connecting and supporting creatives across all aspects of film production. The event concluded with a call to action for members to actively participate in upcoming initiatives, including workshops, training programmes and the annual Producer Showcase.
President Tolu Yesufu also announced the formation of the Guild of Nobles, an advisory body within the UKNPG designed to provide guidance and support for the guild’s strategic initiatives. In addition, the guild proudly announced its Grand Patron and Patron, presenting them with commemorative plaques in recognition of their support and contributions to the growth of UK Nollywood.
