National Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) Abdullahi Ganduje, has expressed deep sadness and sorrows over the death of the senator representing Anambra Central senatorial district, Ifeanyi Ubah.
Ubah, who was also the chief executive officer of Capital Oil and Gas Ltd., passed away in London at the age of 52.
In a condolence message by his Senior Special Assistant on Public Enlightenment, Oliver Okpala, the APC national chairman expressed shock over the death of the senator.
Ganduje said he was deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Ubah.
“Ubah’s closeness to the leadership of the party as a great pillar in Anambra State will be sorely missed,” he said.
He lamented that his death was a colossal loss to Anambra State and Nigeria as a whole.

“This is, indeed, a big blow to the party, the Igbo and Nigerians in general,” he said.
The APC national chairman said Ubah made significant contributions to the nation and particularly the party.
Ganduje described Ubah as a “great leader of the APC in the South East” and an uncommon philanthropist as well as business mogul.
The APC leader said the late senator made significant contributions to shaping Nigeria’s oil and gas industry, both as a major player and later as the chairman of the Senate Committee on Petroleum Downstream.
“On behalf of APC, Ganduje extends his condolences to the family, friends, and associates of Ubah, as well as to the people of Anambra South and the Nigerian Senate.”
He prays that everyone grieving at this saddening time finds the courage and fortitude to rise above the irreparable loss.
