Twin explosions rock Maiduguri hours after terrorists’ dawn attack

Twin explosions yesterday rocked Maiduguri, Borno State capital hours after terrorists infiltrated the city suburb in a dawn attack

The first explosion happened near former El-Kanemi roundabout around the Monday market just as Muslim were taking their break of fast meal (Iftar).

The second explosions occurred few minutes later near the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH) gate

Witnesses told The Sun the second explosion occurred in a tricycle near the UMTH main gate. It was not clear as at press time whether the tricycle was parked near the gate earlier or driven to the scene to detonate explosives immediately.

The military and the police are yet to react to the incident which came hours after terrorists attacked four locations in the city suburbs.
