US President Donald Trump announced that Israel will not carry out further strikes on Iran’s South Pars gas field unless Tehran escalates again, in a bid to cool mounting tensions in the Middle East.
This came after he threatened to “massively blow up” a sizable Iranian gas field unless Tehran stopped attacking Qatari energy installations, which were severely damaged on Thursday.
In a social media post, Trump referred to Israel’s recent assault on the South Pars gas field as a “violent lashing out” amid the larger struggle between Iran, Israel, and the United States.

He insisted that the United States had no prior knowledge of the Israeli strike and that Qatar was not involved.
According to Trump, he has given the order that “no more attacks will be made by Israel about this extremely important and valuable South Pars field” as long as Iran refrains from attacking Gulf energy infrastructure. But he cautioned that the United States would take strong action, even without Israel’s help, if Iran resumed its attacks.
“NO MORE ATTACKS WILL BE MADE BY ISRAEL pertaining to this extremely important and valuable South Pars Field unless Iran unwisely decides to attack a very innocent, in this case, Qatar,” he said.
