Troops of 3 Division/Operation SAFE HAVEN, have raided a bandit hideout at Teng Village in Qua’an Pan Local Government Area of Plateau State killing one of the bandits.
During the raid which was intelligence based, the troops made contact, overwhelmed the criminals and forced them to retreat in disarray.
In the exchange of fire, one bandit was neutralised while traces of blood along their withdrawal routes indicates that some of the fleeing bandits sustained gunshot wounds.
Troops exploited the hideout and recovered one AK-47 rifle, one AK-47 magazine and 11 rounds of 7.62 mm (Special) ammunition.
The recovered arms and ammunition are in the custody of troops for further action, who are on pursuit of the fleeing criminals.
