The immediate past Governor of Zamfara State and the Honorable Minister, state for Defense, Dr. Bello Muhammad Matawalle, has prayed for peace and stability in Zamfara state and Nigeria at Admiralty Estate Jumu’a Mosques, Navy Town, Asokoro in Abuja.

This was contained in a statement by the personal assistant to the Minister on media, Ahmed Dan-Wudil who said that it was a part of the ongoing activities of the Nigerian Navy to commemorate its 69th anniversary.

The Special Jumu’at Prayer brought together naval personnel, their families, and members of the wider Muslim community to offer prayers of gratitude to Almighty Allah and to seek divine guidance for the Nigerian Navy as well peace and stability for entire Nigeria in its continued service and protection of the nation’s maritime domain.

Dr. Bello Matawalle commended the dedication and sacrifices of the Nigerian Navy and reaffirmed the commitment of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and the Renewed Hope Administration to the continued support and fully equipping of the Nigerian Armed Forces. He emphasized the critical role of the military in safeguarding national security and sovereignty.

The Honourable Minister also used the occasion to call on Muslims across the nation to remain steadfast in their prayers for the Nigerian Armed Forces and all security agencies, acknowledging their tireless efforts in ensuring peace and stability across the country.

The Special Jumu’at Prayer is one of several events lined up to mark Navy Week 2025, celebrate d nearly seven decades of courageous service, professionalism, and dedication by the Nigerian Navy in the defence of Nigeria’s territorial waters.
