From Lateef Dada, Osogbo
A governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Omooba Dotun Babayemi, has asserted that the victory of President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general election would ensure the stability of Nigeria and its economy for the good of the populace.
Besides, Babayemi said members of the APC in Osun were already working assiduously towards making sure that the party emerges victorious in the 2026 state governorship election.
The governorship hopeful stated this during the continuation of his statewide ward-to-ward visit to three wards in Ayedire Local Government Area of the state at the weekend.
Babayemi, who recently concluded a month-long consultative meetings with leaders and stakeholders in the 30 council areas in the state, is currently visiting each of the 332 wards in the state.
Addressing enthusiastic leaders and members of the party at Olupona wards 1 and 2, as well as Oke-Osun ward 4, he said returning President Tinubu for a second term in office should be paramount to the people of the country, especially the party members.

This, according to him, is because the nation’s helmsman since assumption of office, has rolled out reforms and programmes under the Renewed Hope agenda that are already bearing positive fruits, noting that re-electing him would further put the country on a firmer footing.
“The current gang up, encased in the coalition, will amount to nothing at the end of the day. Tinubu’s second term is a done deal. His eight years as the President cannot be compromised. His exploits in Lagos after eight years in office are part of the reasons he is being honoured and glowingly being acclaimed as a true democrat. Our president is breaking grounds with positive impacts. The results of these will tangibly manifest in the course of his second term in office,” he stressed
While harping on the propriety of Tinubu’s re-election, the aspirant implored the party members to mobilise for the registration of voters to be carried out in due course by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
In the same vein, he appealed to them not to relent in their quest at ensuring that the party regains power at next year’s gubernatorial election in the state.
In their separate responses, the party leaders across the wards visited while commending him for his grassroots mobilisation efforts, and assured him of their readiness to ensure that the APC wins both at the federal and state levels.
