The All Progressives Congress (APC) Ireland chapter has promised to go beyond the use of rice and wrapper in mobilising voters for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu during next year’s presidential election.
The APC Professional Women Leader, Ireland Chapter, and Convener Women-led Initiative for Inclusive Grassroots Development and Political Participation, Hon Joyce Viyanto Antonza, made the disclosure in Abuja yesterday.
She gave the promise in her remarks during a meeting with the chairman and 11 councillors of Sanga Local Government Area, Kaduna State, to mobilise grassroots support for President Tinubu.
While revealing how she intends to tackle voter apathy with the grassroots mobilisations, she emphasised that her network intends to look beyond the use of rice and wrappers to bring out voters.
She gave further explanation: “We have already started reaching out to voters to checkmate voter apathy. The strategy we are going to adopt is to sensitise the women and the youths of voting age.
“We sensitise them on the importance of participating in the election, preaching to them on the renewed mandate. We have to market to them all that the President has done under the renewed hope mandate and what he intends to do if re-elected.

On the number of votes her network intends to secure for President Tinubu’s re-election, she said: “We have over 200 million people in Nigeria according to the last census. I can confirm that my local government and wards will give him all the votes from there.
“I will network with my friends and sisters from other states from the six geopolitical zones including the North West where I come from. We will mobilise extensively to give Mr President the required votes,” she promised.
Explaining the motive behind the event, she said: “This initiative aligns closely with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu, whose administration has prioritised inclusive governance, citizen engagement, and grassroots participation.”
“As the Convener, having returned from the diaspora where I serve as APC Professional Women Leader, Ireland Chapter, I am personally committed to advance this agenda. This initiative bridges diaspora experience with grassroots action, mobilises women, strengthens political participation, and supports the effective delivery of the Renewed Hope Agenda across communities.
“I also wish to commend Her Excellency Oluremi Tinubu, whose unwavering advocacy for women’s empowerment continues to inspire this movement as weil as the APC National Women Leader, whose dedication to expanding the political space for women continues to inspire initiatives like this across the country,” she said.
