President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed his commitment to prioritising the welfare of Nigerian workers on Workers’ Day, Thursday, May 1, 2025.
In a message posted on his official X account @officialABAT, the president described workers as the “engine of our economy and the secret to our nation’s growth”, pledging sustained collaboration with the labour force to strengthen Nigeria.
He extended congratulations to all workers—public and private, young and old, entrepreneurs and employees—recognising their essential contributions to community and national development.
Tinubu assured that his administration will continue to enhance workers’ welfare through ongoing relief programmes and planned minimum wage reviews.
His full message reads:
