Following this, he will travel to Luanda, Angola, to participate in the AU-EU Summit, according to a statement issued by Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

President Tinubu, the statement read, was invited by South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, who currently chairs the G20.

Tinubu will join world leaders from the top 20 economies, the African Union, the European Union, and international financial bodies at the Johannesburg Expo Centre from 22 to 23 November.

The President will be accompanied by top government officials, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar; Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun; Minister of Solid Minerals, Dele Alake; Minister of Trade and Investment, Jumoke Oduwole; and the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency, Mohammed Mohammed.

The summit’s theme, “Solidarity, Equality, Sustainability,” will guide discussions on topics including trade, disaster risk reduction, energy transition, food security, critical minerals, decent work, and artificial intelligence.

After the G20 meetings, President Tinubu will attend the 7th AU-EU Summit in Angola from 24 to 25 November.
