President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Monday Okpebholo on the Supreme Court’s affirmation of his election as Edo State governor and urged him to see the victory as a call to heightened service delivery.
The ruling, delivered on Thursday, July 10, 2025, affirms Okpebholo’s win in the September 2024 governorship poll, which was declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu called on Okpebholo to embrace all citizens and work towards uniting Edo State for accelerated development.

“Now that the governor has cleared the legal hurdles, it is time for him to accelerate the delivery of exceptional services and good governance to the people of Edo State, which he has already begun to do,” the president said.
Tinubu also congratulated the leadership and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State, urging party cohesion and dedication to fulfilling the mandate entrusted to them by the electorate.
