Tinubu hails Dangote as Africa’s industrial powerhouse on birthday

President Bola Tinubu has showered praise on Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Africa’s richest man and Chairman of the Dangote Group, celebrating his birthday as a milestone for one of the continent’s foremost industrialists.

In a State House press release issued by Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu extended warm felicitations to Dangote, highlighting his transformative role in Nigeria’s and Africa’s economic landscape.

The President commended Dangote’s “entrepreneurial vision, resilience, innovation, and commitment to excellence,” which have revolutionized industries and established Nigeria as a key player in petrochemicals and cement production.

Tinubu specifically lauded the multi-billion-dollar Dangote Refinery and Petrochemical Company, along with cement factories spanning Africa, noting their impact on job creation and infrastructure. “I salute Aliko for his conglomerate’s role in job creation, infrastructure development, and unwavering belief in the Nigerian economy and its potential. Dangote remains a shining example of African enterprise, whose achievements continue to inspire a new generation of entrepreneurs across the continent,” the President stated.

He also spotlighted Dangote’s philanthropy via the Dangote Foundation, which has driven advancements in health, education, and poverty alleviation. “I also applaud Aliko’s philanthropic efforts, particularly through the Dangote Foundation, which have significantly impacted lives in health, education, and poverty alleviation,” Tinubu added.

As Dangote marks another year, the President prayed for his continued success: “As Aliko marks another year, I pray for his continued good health, wisdom, and greater accomplishments in service to Nigeria, Africa, and humanity.”
