President Bola Tinubu has praised Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Olanipekun Olukoyede, on the occasion of his birthday today, October 14.

In a statement issued by Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu lauded Olukoyede for his professionalism and unwavering dedication to combating corruption and economic crimes in Nigeria.

The President highlighted Olukoyede’s role in strengthening the EFCC’s efforts toward transparency and institutional reforms within the nation’s anti-graft framework.

“Mr Olukoyede has shown commitment and courage in the discharge of his duties, particularly through initiatives like the special task force on currency offences to tackle naira abuse and the dollarisation of the economy,” Tinubu said. “His strategic approach in fighting cybercrimes and economic sabotage is pivotal to our national efforts.”

The President prayed for divine guidance and protection over the EFCC Chairman, wishing him continued success in his mission to eradicate economic ills that have long hampered Nigeria’s growth.
