In a bold move to transform emergency healthcare delivery in Nigeria, Ticare, a groundbreaking healthtech app built to function like Uber for ambulances, will officially launch on June 20th, 2025.
Owned and powered by Thrive Impact Ltd and Developed by the Port Harcourt-based innovation powerhouse Harvoxx Tech Hub, Ticare is designed to connect individuals in medical emergencies to the nearest available ambulance—faster, safer, and more efficiently than ever before.
A Revolution in Emergency Care
With just a few taps, users can request a verified ambulance and get real-time updates as help makes its way to their location. Whether it’s a road accident, a convulsing child, a sudden asthma attack, or a pregnant woman going into unexpected labor, Ticare bridges the critical response gap that costs thousands of lives annually in Nigeria.
“Ticare was born out of a painful reality—people were dying, not because help didn’t exist, but because help didn’t get there on time,” says Worgu Kevin Kinikanwo, the visionary founder of Ticare and CEO of Thrive Impact Ltd.
“This app is more than technology. It’s our commitment to making sure no Nigerian dies waiting for an ambulance.” Tech Built with Purpose
Thrive Impact Ltd contracted Harvoxx Tech Hub, a top-tier innovation lab known for products that scale nationally to design and develop the App. Ticare’s smooth interface, OTP-secured sign-up, real-time tracking, and dual payment options (cash and card) are a testament to Harvoxx’s practical approach to solving real problems with intuitive design.
Victor Agbenro, Director of Build With Harvoxx explained: “We built Ticare with speed, trust, and accessibility in mind. From day one, it had to work under pressure, be easy to use, and deliver hope on demand. We built it with the vision of the Founder of Ticare in Mind”
Field-Tested. Human Approved.
Prior to launch, Ticare underwent intensive beta testing across multiple Nigerian cities. The response was overwhelmingly positive:
“I booked an ambulance during a mock drill, and it arrived at my location in 9 minutes. For me, that’s the difference between life and death.” — Dr. Adaobi Enemuo, Medical Doctor, Port Harcourt
“The app was so easy to use—even for someone who isn’t tech-savvy like me. The interface is clean, and the panic button feature gives me peace of mind.” — Mama Tombari, Retired Teacher, Rivers State.
“As a volunteer responder, I saw firsthand how the app helped reduce chaos in an emergency scenario. It’s well-thought-out and truly lifesaving.” — Tony Akins, Paramedic Trainee, Lagos
A New Era in Emergency Healthcare
Ticare isn’t just for individuals. Hospitals and private ambulance owners can register as service providers, creating a decentralized emergency response system that scales with Nigeria’s evolving healthcare needs.
The Ticare team also has plans to launch health awareness video series, partner with universities, run live response simulations, and integrate a live chat feature for faster support.
“We’re building an ecosystem, not just an app,” adds Kevin.
“This is just the beginning.”
