Excerpts;

Let us start by having some details about you, the founder of Edouard Equity Real Estate company? What inspired you to go into Real Estate? Where is the business located?

Well, I started in real estate in 2005 by having a chance to be a Loan Officer at an office in midtown, an office called Madison Capitol. A gentleman named Sal give me my first chance to come to the real estate world.

I was inspired by a very good friend of mine and a brother of mine called Mario Casseus and a mentor called Wayne Green that actually showed me the way and helped me set up my own office 10 years later in Hempstead New York.

When did you become an entrepreneur and how was the first year experience?

Since I was in Junior High school, I always wanted to be a business man but was not quite sure which field I should venture in. In life you should always go with what you have an advantage on. Real estate was what I felt like I had an advantage on. My first year was pretty rough, but I found a way to make it a challenge and end my first year with a small profit.

How do you maintain your competitive edge in a market where there are a lot of people selling the same thing you are selling?

With experiences you will know with real estate there’s a time to sell and a time to buy and each houses that we remodeled we add some type of futuristic or modern look to the house which gravitates the buyer and gets the sale done quick fast

You seem to market exclusively the luxury houses, Why?

The feeling of starting a property from ground up excites me and the returns are greater in this business with development houses. You have to find the right niche and not try to do what everyone else does. Bigger return comes with bigger risk.

What are the major challenges of running your real estate business? And how do you overcome them?

Finding the right team and the right surrounding is the biggest challenge, without a good team your chances are slim to none, train your team to think like you and visualize a project like you do and with that you should be on your way to overcome any challenges.

Can you tell us if you have branches in other states and other countries?

No, I feel that your investment should be close to Home and should be able to attend any moment in case of emergency.

Since you started Edouard Equity Real Estate company, what are some of the testimonies you have received from customers?

It has been nice so far our work have been up to par and very upscale.

How has the recent crash of the global economy affected the business?

It has affected every business being that the world was shut down there no construction no contact with people so it was hard as we had projects that started and had to take a much longer time than expected.

How affordable are your houses?

My houses are mostly 900k and up the last time I sold a property that was in the 600k range was 5 years ago.

Tell us the product categories that you market under the Edouard Equity Real Estate company?

We mostly focus on Residential homes 1 , 2, or 3 Family homes

What other things do you do aside from Edouard Equity?

Before the Covid era I had an idea to start my own streaming platforms with many trials. I had a stable streaming platform called The Plug Network.

As a young businessman, what other areas of business are thinking of venturing into?

Lately I’ve been trying to get to the music industry by starting a record label and hopefully put a mark in the industry.

Who are your business role model and why?

Sean Combs Business mind, Deion Sanders Motivation, Wayne Green Hunger.

If you are not doing business, what else would you have embraced as a career?

A finance Management specialist.

Precisely, why do you choose to be a businessperson?

Financial freedom and the fact that I make my own schedule, and has no limit on how much I can make.

In your childhood, what was your future ambition?

Soccer Player. I always thought I was going to be a pro soccer player growing up in Haiti. That was my favourite sport and I wanted to go pro.

What has been the most significant moment in your business career?

In 2016, I started flipping my first property.

A lot of successful people are doing philanthropy these days. Do you have any plans for that?

Yes, I always try to help my country; my town Leogane. Every year, they have an event to help people in the town ride bike and stay healthy and raise money to help the town. I have been the #1 sponsor for that event for the past 5 years.

Who gave you the best business advice ever? When and what is that advice?

My grandfather told me ‘do what you can so you never bend your head down in front of people’.
