TEA-PRIME renews commitment to developing effective leaders

TEA-PRIME Leadership Academy has reiterated its commitment to training value-driven and effective leaders in Nigeria and Africa.

Founder of the academy, Esther Adelana, said this during a virtual meeting of the academy’s newly constituted advisory board.

Adelana stated that Tea-Prime is a leadership development institution dedicated to building transformational leaders through training, mentorship, strategic partnerships, and innovative leadership programmes designed to meet contemporary global challenges.

She further stated that in recent times, the academy has achieved increased visibility, strengthened partnerships, and international collaborations in impacting people and organisations, and is looking forward to collaborating with more institutions in hosting the 2026 International Leadership Conference and Awards in Abuja, Nigeria.

”The board will play a pivotal role in shaping policies, fostering global partnerships, ensuring sound governance, and advancing leadership education aligned with global best practices,”” she added.

Since its establishment in 2017, Tea-Prime has organised leadership conferences and training programmes for individuals and organisations and has reached over 10,000 individuals through its training, conferences, webinars, and workshops.

During the board members plenary meeting held on 31st January, 2026, the Chairman of the board, Dr Goodluck Mfonnom, stated that the constitution of the advisory board marked a significant milestone in the academy’s mission to develop ethical, visionary, and impact-driven leaders across Africa and beyond.

Dr Mfonnom stressed that the board is made up of respected professionals from diverse fields, including leadership development, governance, law, finance, and international relations.

He added that their collective expertise will provide strategic oversight, institutional guidance, and policy direction to support the academy’s growth and long-term vision.

According to the secretary of the board, Loveth Patrick, the TEA-PRIME advisory board consists of Dr Goodluck Mfonnom, Chairman; Hon. Edward Okoeguale, Vice Chairman, Barr. Abiodun Endurance, Legal Advisor; Mr Chuba Ezekwesili, Creative Director and Strategy Advisor; Mr Chukwuma Obi, Financial Advisor; Dr Marcea Burnette Whitaker; and Dr Emmanuel Ikechukwu Umeonyirioha.

Dr Mfonnom, speaking about the governance structure and board roles, emphasised the importance of strategic oversight and policy direction, and the promotion of partnerships and organisational sustainability.

Vice Chairman, Hon. Okoeguale, admonished the board members to be actively involved in the activities of the board.

The board members of the academy gave assurance of their commitment to empowering emerging and established leaders with the skills, values, and mindset required to drive sustainable development, institutional excellence, and positive societal impact.
