Taraba State Police Command has arrested 25 suspected kidnappers, traffickers and armed robbers. Commissioner of Police, Mokwa Dongshai, said: “The command remains committed to intelligence policing and proactive operations to safeguard lives and properties.
“These is a clear indication that criminal elements will find no safe haven in Taraba State. Law-abiding citizens can continue their daily activities with confidence and rest of mind.
“We are emboldened by the leadership of the Inspector General of Police, Olatunji Disu. He has repeatedly expressed his stance on professionalism, discipline, respect for the rights and dignity of citizens, public trust and enthroning a people-centred policing. The command remains committed to professionalism and respect for human rights and adherence to the rule of law in all its operations.
“The police detectives, SCID personnel, arrested four suspected armed robbers and recovered two cutlasses, two torch lights, one 42-inch Samsung flat screen television, one Redmi 13 pro smartphone and N35,000.
Police operatives arrested some suspected armed robbers and recovered Honda Accord 2005model, Samsung flat screen television, three mobile phones, two ID cards, one ATM card and N120,000. Three suspected armed robbers were arrested along Takum-Wukari Road. The suspects blocked the road assaulted victims.
“We held discussions with community leadership and stakeholders in Lau, Zing and Yorro local governments to imbibe community policing to checkmate criminals.”
