Tanker conveying industrial chemicals upturns in Lagos

Tragedy was averted in the wee hours of Friday as a tanker loaded with industrial chemicals upturned in Daleko, Mushin area of the state.

SunOnline learnt that no casualty was recorded as the white Volvo tanker spilled some of its content on the road around 3:00 am.

In an X post, the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) said its personnel and firefighters from the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service quickly mobilised to the scene for emergency operations.

The agency said an empty tanker was being awaited for transloading as of the time of filing this report.

Meanwhile, the agency said an articulated Mack truck rammed into the median on Ijaye Road by Odo Eran inward Ogba area of the state also on Friday morning.

No other vehicle was involved in the incident, which did not hinder free flow of traffic on the axis.
