Former Fenerbahçe coach İsmail Kartal has slammed Victor Osimhen after his unsportsmanlike display against Fenerbahçe in the Super Lig.
Kartal, who came under fire following Fenerbahçe’s 2-1 derby defeat to Galatasaray, parted ways with the club.
He said: “Victor Osimhen is a very good player, energetic and a very good striker, but he lacks character. A player of his level is supposed to be a role model for younger ones. He scored twice and started disrespecting Fenerbahce fans and our players.

That’s unsportsmanlike behaviour and should never be encouraged. The opposition is filled with emotions, and acting like that towards them is insensitive
Osimhen scored five (5) goals against Fenerbahçe and became the player who has shaken the net the most in derbies over the last 15 years.
The Nigerian striker earned 47 points for Galatasaray in the league and in Europe over 2 and a half years.
