It was a tough period for me,” she said.

“July was tough, first I lost my beautiful beloved god-daughter, Funmilola to sickle cell, and my godmother, Mama K. Then I traveled from the USA to France, Monaco and Croatia trying to distract myself from the pains. I finally found some answers in my song, Tambele (Happiness is Free). This song is for you, it’s for me; I choose happiness, I’m still broken but I choose to rise above the challenges, and I hope you feel the same strength this song has given me,” the singer stated.
Having released, My Body, Lagos and Saami Iye in 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic, the African queen of songs, Jemiriye, is growing in leaps and bounds in her music career, performing in big concerts and music festivals.
