Former Abia Central Senator Chief Theodore Ahamefule Orji has expressed shock over the demise of the first governor of Abia State, Dr Ogbonnaya Onu.
Expressing his sadness over the loss, the former Governor of Abia State in a statement by his liaison officer, Ifeanyi Umere described Dr. Onu as a frontline politician whose invaluable contributions to Abia State and to the nation as a nationalist will continue to be cherished.
“Dr. Onu was a frontline politician whose invaluable contributions to Abia State and to the nation as a whole will continue to be cherished.”
Sen. Orji stated that the death of the former Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Dr Ogbannaya Onu was a huge loss to the people of Abia, Ebonyi States, the entire South East and Nigeria in general.
“The death of the first Governor of Abia State and former Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation was a huge loss to the people of Abia, Ebonyi States and the entire nation.”
The former Governor urged the immediate family, Abia and Ebonyi States, the entire South East and Nigeria in general to bear the loss with fortitude.
