Supporters of Governor Abba Kabiru Yusuf of the New Nigeria Peoples Party in Kano State have taken to a few locations in the capital to express their happiness over their victory at the Supreme Court.

At a few locations in the state capital, they rode on their vehicles, tricycles, motorcycles at screeching speed, shouting on top of voices as they expressed  their gratitude to Allah.

Saturday Sun observed the jubilant supporters along Bompai area, near the residence of leader of the party, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

Some of the young ones were also sighted, dancing and singing on the streets of the city, shouting, “ Sai Abba”.

It was also observed that some supporters stayed at the shops, kiosks and other safer locations to discuss the outcome of the Supreme Court judgment.

The red -cap celebrants, who defied the security presence at strategic locations, were, however, peaceful in their celebrations.

It could be recalled that for the whole of the morning, the metropolis of Kano was literally asleep as the streets were largely deserted; schools were shut while many business outlets did not open out of the fear of the unknown.
