Nigeria’s overseas-based stars have continued to invest heavily back home with one of the latest being former Super Eagles midfielder Ramon Azeez.

Azeez, who captained Nigeria to win the 2011 U20 AFCON in South Africa, played for several years in the Spanish La Liga.

SCORENigeria has now gathered that the easy-going player is sinking over Two Billion Naira to build his own hotel in the bustling Lagos neigbourhood of Abule Egba, where he grew up.

The project has reached about 60% completion.

Further checks show he is putting up this ultra-modern hotel with the assistance of a top bank.

The hotel will have 80 rooms, a massive conference hall, swimming pool, among other facilities.

“Ramon is a focused person, who takes his business ventures seriously,” a source close to the player told SCORENigeria

“Besides the hotel, which will be a talk of the town when it is built, he has 10 other properties around the Abule Egba axis, where the average is valued at around 500 Million Naira.”

The 32-year-old Azeez, who was capped six times by the Super Eagles, is currently without a club and last played for Spanish club Granada CF in the 2020/21 season.
