Nigerians clamouring for the immediate sack of Super Eagles coach Finidi George may have to wait for another 13 months to get their wish.
A source close to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) informed Sporting Sun that the earliest time Finidi can be sacked is March 2025.
“Finidi has a one-year contract with the NFF, with a year performance-based extension.
“As it is, the former Enyimba coach will still be in charge of the AFCON qualification series from September before the continuation of the World Cup qualifiers next year.
“So, depending on his performance in the AFCON qualifiers, Finidi will remain until March when his current contract expires in March 2025,” the source said.
