Submit your applications for scholarships, Uniosun VC tells students

The Vice Chancellor of Osun State University (UNIOSUN), Prof Clement Adebooye, on Thursday advised students to submit their applications for various scholarships offered by the institution.

He urged the students to approach student affairs for details about a range of scholarships for both excellent and indigent students in the university.

In his address at the 17th matriculation ceremony held at Olagunsoye Oyinlola Auditorium, Osogbo main campus, Adebooye assured that strategic measures have been implemented to ensure the timely graduation of the students.

He said, “Our meticulously designed academic calendar facilitates the completion of final year examinations in July, enabling you to eagerly anticipate your convocation in September of graduation year and step into the next chapter of your lives.”

The VC also warned the students against social vices such as examination malpractice, cultism, indecent dressing, drug abuse, sexual harassment, and truancy, saying that “the University is resolute in its stance on these, and culprits are subject to summary dismissal.

“In this esteemed institution, we uphold the values of integrity, discipline, and moral uprightness. Social vices such as examination malpractice, cultism, indecent dressing, drug abuse, sexual harassment, and truancy are vehemently condemned.

“Recognizing diverse backgrounds, we operate a student work-study scheme, employing indigent students in specific University areas, and providing stipends for their upkeep.
