Stanbic IBTC Holdings has raised the number of children supported through its Together4ALimb initiative to 250, marking 12 years of helping children living with limb loss regain mobility, confidence and access to education.
This was celebrated at the 2026 Together4ALimb Walk in Victoria Island, Lagos, where employees, beneficiaries, families, partners and members of the public joined an awareness walk themed, “Be Un’limb’ited.”
The 50 additional children were enrolled into the programme, with each receiving a custom-designed prosthetic limb and a Stanbic IBTC Education Trust fund valued at N1.5 million.
The initiative, which began in 2015, has grown into one of the financial institution’s major corporate social investment programmes, providing prosthetic limbs and educational support to children affected by limb loss.
Wife of Lagos State, Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, represented by Mrs. Ola Ibitoye, said every child, irrespective of physical condition, deserved the opportunity to live, learn, dream and succeed.
According to her, a prosthetic limb could transform a child’s life by improving mobility, boosting confidence and enabling the child to return to school, play with friends and participate more fully in everyday life.
She said educational support was equally critical in giving the beneficiaries an opportunity to build better futures.

Since its inception, the programme has provided beneficiaries with prosthetic limbs and more than ₦300 million in scholarship funding, while the total value of support under the initiative has exceeded ₦800 million.
The beneficiaries currently cut across different levels of education, with one in creche, 23 in nursery school, 97 in primary school, 55 in junior secondary school and 38 in senior secondary school. Seven beneficiaries have completed secondary education, eight are in universities, while two are receiving specialised support in special schools.
