Some Concerned Stakeholders under the aegis of Traveling Agency Watch, (TAW) have called on the relevant government authorities and the Polish embassy to stamp out the activities of some fake Visa appointments fraudsters.

The group said these fake Visa and appointment racketeers have defrauded unsuspecting Nigerians of huge sums and dollars under the false pretence of getting an appointment for them.

Coordinator of the group Osagie Idemudia, in a statement said they have been inundated with complains from applicants seeking Polish visa at their embassy of difficulties in securing visa appointments occasioned by the activities of these fraidulent visa racketeers who coerced their victims to the tune as high as 3000 Polish zloty an amount roughly equivalent of $900 for a single appointment.

A victim, Ayodeji Daniel, narrated his ordeal while trying to secure an appointment for Polish visa alleged that the duo of scammers take advantage of Nigerians seeking for greener pastures in other climes.

Daniel narrated, “Together, they orchestrate a sinister plan to manipulate the system, exploiting the vulnerabilities in the visa application process.

He alleged, a former employee of Polish embassy in Nigeria claiming to have the authority to secure appointment dates. In reality, they operate as fraudulent entities, preying on unsuspecting applicants who are earnestly seeking to navigate the intricate visa application process.

“The sinister plot unfolds as each individual plays a distinct role in executing their nefarious plans. The intricate network they have woven over the years has led countless genuine candidates to fall victim to their scams, resulting in significant financial losses.

“It is disheartening to witness frustrated candidates, genuinely seeking visas, falling prey to the clutches of these scammers and criminals. The persistence of such fraudulent activities reflects a systemic issue that demands urgent attention.

“As applicants continue to face hurdles in their pursuit of legitimate appointments, the need for swift intervention and an overhaul of the existing system becomes increasingly evident”.
