The Founder of Love of Christ Generation Church, Reverend Mother Esther Ajayi, has called on Nigerians to prophesy good things for the country and refrain from constantly speaking negatively about the nation.
Ajayi made the call while addressing journalists at a press briefing to commemorate the 19th anniversary of the church, urging Nigerians who constantly curse the country to desist and instead speak words capable of promoting hope and national development.
According to the cleric, Nigeria is not the only country facing economic and social challenges, noting that many other nations across the world are also experiencing difficult times.
She urged Nigerians to develop greater love for their country, expressing the belief that unity, patriotism and positive attitudes would contribute to the growth and development of the nation.
“Whatever Nigeria is going through is also being experienced in other countries. Nigerians should fall in love with their country, speak well of it and prophesy good things for it so that the country can get better,” she said.
Speaking on the forthcoming 2027 general elections and the current economic challenges confronting the country, Ajayi urged Nigerians to embrace love, unity and peaceful coexistence.
She expressed optimism that the hardship currently facing Nigerians would eventually give way to a better future.
“No government can take care of all its citizens at once, but with love, we will all overcome,” she said.
“If you truly love your country, you will not do anything that will put the country in a bad shape.
“I can tell you categorically that Nigeria will be great again,” Ajayi declared.
Meanwhile, the Love of Christ Generation Church is set to celebrate its 19th anniversary with a grand thanksgiving service at its headquarters in Lagos on Sunday, September 13, 2026.
The anniversary celebration, themed “Harvest of Divine Favour,” is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. and is expected to attract prominent religious leaders, dignitaries and worshippers from within and outside Nigeria.
Ajayi said the celebration would provide an opportunity for members of the church and other Christians to appreciate God for His faithfulness and the numerous testimonies recorded by the ministry over the past 19 years.
“We cannot thank our Creator enough. This event is about telling the world about the amazing favour the Lord has shown us as a church, both within and outside Nigeria,” she said.
She added that the thanksgiving service would bring together members of the body of Christ and other guests to celebrate God’s goodness and renew their commitment to the propagation of the Christian faith.
“How we celebrate God in Nigeria is unique and glorious. This is why we are using this medium to invite the world to come and taste and see that the Lord is good,” she stated.
Ajayi recalled that a similar celebration was recently held in London, attracting prominent personalities and worshippers from different parts of the world.
She assured prospective attendees of adequate security, saying comprehensive arrangements had been made to ensure a peaceful and hitch-free event.
According to her, free buses would be provided to convey worshippers and guests from different parts of Lagos State and beyond.
