Entrepreneur Sowemimo David has introduced two digital platforms, GOAT Academy App and GOAT Radio, aimed at students interested in entrepreneurship and career development.
GOAT Academy provides educational resources covering entrepreneurship, practical skills, business development and career planning.
The platform also includes artificial intelligence-based tools such as GOAT AI, Business Coach, Idea Lab, Plan Builder, Career Path and an AI Library.
According to David, the platforms are intended to encourage students to develop entrepreneurial and professional skills while still in school.
“We don’t want young Africans waiting for graduation to start building their future. We want them learning, building, earning, and growing right now,” David said.
GOAT Radio is an internet radio platform focused on campus communities. Its programmes include music, comedy, discussions, career guidance, business-related content and interviews.
The platform is also expected to provide students with a channel to discuss issues affecting campus communities and share ideas on entrepreneurship and careers.
The initiative is based on what David describes as the StudentPreneurship model, which encourages students to combine their education with practical skills and entrepreneurial activities.
It also includes Moneymathics and the StudentPreneurship Challenge Games, which are focused on entrepreneurship and student participation across universities, polytechnics and colleges of education.
David said the initiative would focus on helping students develop skills and pursue business opportunities before completing their tertiary education.
