Sobia Shaikh shares her journey of becoming a ‘trendsetter’ influencer in San Francisco

Sobia A. Shaikh is a Lifestyle Blogger, Social Media Influencer and Content Creator. She initially lived in Karachi, Pakistan. She completed her Bachelors in Advertising and after that pursued a profession in advertising at Young & Rubicam for around six years. She quit the job and decided to move to San Francisco in 1997. After shifting to San Francisco, she started her own clothing line, Rhung. This marked the initiation of her career as a fashion entrepreneur. Throughout the next seven years, she successfully launched and ran ISLY Handbags which were a hit in almost all stores and boutiques. It was also featured in prestigious media outlets such as People, The New York Times, PopSugar, InStyle, SFGATE, etc. Currently, she runs the famous blog page- shaikhenandstirred.com.
Sobia is an active member in various events of nonprofit organizations such as fundraising and volunteering. Presently, she is a member of the UNICEF USA North West Region Board. She is also the co-chair of the UNICEF @75 Celebration event which is taking place nationwide on 30th November this year.
Sobia cherishes the time she gets to spend with her family which includes her husband and teenage daughter. She also has a son who studies in a college located on the East Coast. She visits him occasionally.

Before moving to San Francisco, Sobia spent a portion of her life in Pakistan and London. Thus, she carries an intense cultural perspective within her. Currently, she has established her role as an influenced and is regarded as a trendsetter by many. She even attends high profile fashion shows such as New York Fashion Week and Paris Fashion Week. These have also shaped her profession of being a fashion and lifestyle influencer.
Sobia had her fair share of troubles while initiating her career. However, she did not overcome and this is why she is where she is today. Thus, she shared her piece of advice which she wished she would have received at the beginning of her career and what aspiring people should know. She feels that even if she can help out one person, her job as a human being is done.
