Rising star Sir Reno, born Omoseni Olawole Richard, is set to make waves in the music industry with the release of his highly anticipated debut EP, HIM, which dropped today, Sunday, September 21 across all major streaming platforms.
This project marks the official arrival of a fresh voice in Afrobeat, blending raw emotion, infectious rhythms, and introspective lyrics that reflect his personal growth and aspirations.
Hailing from Ondo State and raised in the vibrant community of Eti-Osa, Ikota in Lagos, Sir Reno (born November 5, 2002) draws deep inspiration from global icon Burna Boy, whose fearless artistry and cultural pride have shaped his own sound. “Burna Boy showed me that Afrobeat isn’t just music—it’s a movement that tells our stories unapologetically,” says Sir Reno.
At just 22 years old, he’s already carving out a space for himself with a style that fuses traditional Nigerian influences with modern production, creating tracks that resonate with young audiences navigating identity, ambition, and self-discovery.
According to Okereke Fellowship Micheal the PR Executive for the project, the EP, ‘HIM’ features 5 tracks that explore themes of self-empowerment, love, and resilience. Standout singles like Concentrate and Everyday showcase Sir Reno’s versatile vocal range and lyrical depth, positioning him as a promising talent in the Afrobeat scene. Fans can expect high-energy beats paired with thoughtful narratives, all produced with a nod to his roots while pushing boundaries for the future.
To aspiring young artists, Sir Reno offers these words of encouragement: “Don’t wait for permission to chase your dreams. Start where you are, with what you have—your story is your strongest tool. Stay consistent, believe in your sound, and remember that every setback is just setup for a comeback. The world needs your voice.”
