Vice President Shettima, former President Olusegun Obasanjo and his deputy, Atiku Abubakar, were among the cream of dignitaries that graced the wedding ceremony of the son of business mogul, Fahad Dahiru Mangal and Aisha Musa Kwankwaso, daughter of the leader of the New Nigeria People Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso.
The wedding, which was conducted yesterday at the palace of the Emir of Kano was officiated by the Chief Imam of Kano, Sani Zahradeen.
A bride price of N1million was paid as dowry by the groom’s family led by the billionaire businessman and Chief Executive of Max Air, Dahiru Mangal.
Another N1 million was extended as gift to the cream of Imams (clerics) that partook in the solemnisation of the marriage of the couple.
A reception was soon after hosted at the Kano State Government House by the state governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, who acted as the father of the bride during the ceremony.
Sunday Sun observed that the dignitaries at the event also included two former Senate Presidents, David Mark, Bukola Saraki, a former governor of Kaduna State, Ahmed Makarfi, Katsina State governor, Umar Radda, Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, former Minister, Ali Pantami, among others.
