President Bola Tinubu has celebrated former deputy governor of Lagos State, Sarah Sosan, on her 70th birthday, praising her lifelong commitment to public service as an innate quality.

In a State House statement, by Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu joined her family, friends, and associates in honouring Sosan’s dedication to humanity and faith. “Serving people comes naturally to her,” the President remarked, highlighting her seamless blend of integrity and impact.

He noted that Sosan began her career as a teacher, shaping young minds with a passion for education and knowledge. She later served as Lagos deputy governor from 2007 to 2011 under Babatunde Raji Fashola, contributing to the state’s growth. She currently represents Lagos as a commissioner on the Federal Civil Service Commission.

Tinubu lauded her tenure, stating: “As deputy governor of Lagos, Sosan served with distinction and integrity. She worked harmoniously with Governor Fashola and was resolutely committed to the socio-economic development of Lagos State.”

The President prayed for more fruitful years ahead, wishing her continued influence.
