- Says hard times Will Soon Be Over

The Senator representing Niger East Senatorial district, Alhaji Mohammed Sani Musa on Friday in Minna, distributed over 20,000 bags of assorted grains and other food items to members of his Constituency to cushion the effect of the current hardship in the country.
The food items which included rice, beans, maize among other edible items were distributed to the people of his Constituency in the 2,053 polling units in the nine local government areas of the senatorial district.
This gesture is coming barely one month after the senator doled out cash and food items to the people of his Constituency in other to cushion the effect of the current hardship being faced by the people.
No fewer than 4,100 indigent members of his constituency were given the sun of N50,000.00 each as an empowerment to enable them cope with the present economic reality in the country.
The Senator in addition to the cash grant, a number of farmers were given grains and seedlings ahead of the forthcoming farming season in a bid to boost farming in his senatorial district in order to address the current hardship from different dimensions.
The beneficiaries which includes women and youths, were drawn from the nine Local Government areas of Niger East Senatorial District and they are Paiko, Tafa, Gurara, Suleja, Bosso, Shiroro, Chanchaga, Munya and Rafi.
However on Friday while distributing additional food items to the people of his Constituency told Nigerians that the hard times being faced will soon be over following the successes being recorded by the federal government to improve the economy.
Senator Musa said the current economic hardship is being tackled from different dimension including the distribution of palliatives, adding that that “the federal government had to a large extent been able to stabilize the exchange rate of the national currency against others thereby improving imports and exports”.
According to him, concerted efforts are also being made to fight oil bunkering which has contributed to the shortfall in revenue from the sector, pointing out that very soon the pump price of petrol and other petroleum products will drop.
“All these steps will soon begin to have positive impact on Nigerians. I can assure Nigerians that the hard times Will soon be over”, he added.
Musa appreciated the peaceful conduct of members of his constituency which he said has also assisted the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) government in the state “in delivering dividends of democracy to them.
“Many projects are ongoing and immediately after fasting more projects will be flagged off by the Umaru Bago led APC administration in the state” he submitted.
Musa solicited for the continued cooperation of the people with the government at all levels stressing that “without peace there cannot be meaningful development”.
Special Adviser to Governor Umaru Bago on Political Matters, Alhaji Nma Kolo who witnessed the distribution of the food items, commended Senator Musa for always reaching out to his constituents saying ” You have reduced hunger among our people”.
He therefore appealed to the people to be patient and show some understanding with the present government, insisting that”there will surely be light at the end of the tunnel”.
