Lagos State Governor’s wife, Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, would be among dignitaries at the investiture ceremony of Edwin Okon, as 18th president of Rotary Club of Ojodu, slated for September 25, 2022 at Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos, alongside the board of directors, for the 2022/2023 Rotary year.
The club, in a statement, said the Rotary Club is a partner in progress and position for its mandate through impactful projects and programmes aimed at improving lives.
‘We are only trying to ensure a safer and better environment for society by providing basic needs of society.
“The investiture signals the beginning of the Rotary year officially. But much more than that, it is also a fundraising avenue.”
Installation Committee Chairman and Secretary of the club, Ijeoma Nwosu, said Lagos State first lady is expected to be the special guest of honour while BUA International Limited Group Executive Director, Kabiru Rabiu, is the chairman on the occasion.
Others include Gilbert Igweka, Managing Di-rector, Gilbert Igweka Global Concepts Limited as guest of honour; Florence Ita-Giwa (Mama Bakassi), mother of the day and the chief host is the Imaginative District Governor, District 9110, Omotunde Lawson.
