Governor Hope Uzodimma has felicitated with the Muslim Ummah in Imo State in particular, and Nigeria at large, as they celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Fitr.
The Eid-el-Fitr, otherwise known as the festival marking the end of Ramadan (the breaking of the fast), is celebrated annually by the global Muslim community, during which time they place much emphasis on sacrifice, prayer, love for one another, peace, and charity.
The Federal Government of Nigeria, in recognition of this very important Islamic observance, declared Thursday, March 19, and Friday, March 20, 2026, as public holidays to enable the Muslim Ummah to mark the successful completion of their one-month fast.
Governor Uzodimma, in a statement on his social media handle, prayed that the lessons of Ramadan remain with Nigerians throughout the year.
