According to the founder, Ruth Ejuwa, a professional caterer from Delta State, Nigeria, Ruth’s Buka is a family-oriented food outlet from The Root Restaurant, which started in her home garage and catering for various people throughout the Bay Area.
“We are an authentic family-oriented restaurant. Every spice we use to make our delicious food at Ruth’s Buka is sourced from Nigeria, and that will make you miss home once you take a bite,” Ejuwa said.
Jayden also commented on Ruth’s Buka: “After discovering my ancestral roots at 23 and wanting to experience the West African food culture, I googled a few places and the family chose Ruth’s Buka. When we walked in, it was very welcoming. The music gave the dopest feeling, the food was eye-catching and the prices were very affordable. We got a lot for the price and I also liked the way they accommodated us.”
