Erstwhile Super Eagles’ goal tender, Peter Rufai, compatriot, Samson Siasia and host of former Nigeria soccer stars on Friday, October 14, dazzled in a novelty duel ahead the 14th Arise Walk For Life campaign.

The encounter, which was staged at the Mobolaji Johnson Sports Arena, Onikan, Lagos, saw footballers emerged cynosure of all eyes before convener, Siji Iluyomade.

Having championed the encounter with the idea of inspiring lads aiming to make living from the round leather game, Iluyomade was overwhelmed with the massive turn-up at the spectators stand.

Speaking ahead of the kick-off, the clergy turned philanthropist vowed she wouldn’t relent engaging sports personalities and entertainers in her dream to inspire upcoming generation.

Aside the duo of Rufai and Siasia, the entertaining tie also saw the likes of Waidi Akanni, Edema Fuludu, Ike Ikechukwu, Mutiu Adepoju, Victor Agali, Ifeanyi Udeze, Tijani Babangida, Friday Ekpo, Fatai Amoo, Godwin Okpara and Friday Elaho teamed up with various Arise starlets for the warm up match.

Ex- Chelsea defender and Atlanta ‘96 Olympic gold medalist, Celestine Babayaro alongside former Super Eagles gaffer, Austin Eguavoen also received applauds from cheer leaders.
