Rotary club of Lekki Central, District 9110 on 24th April, 2021 visited Etiosa Maternal and Child Health Centre with Gift packs which include; Diapers, Sanitary Pad, Ankara and baby clothes.
The gift items were shared to 50 nursing mothers and newly born babies in the hospital.
Hospital bills were also paid for some women that gave birth through Caesarean section and could not afford their hospital bills.
The chapter president of the club, Christyn Obiajulu explained that they embarked on this charity project in commemoration of Rotary’s maternal and child health month which is April.
She pointed out that the project was sponsored by the members of the club including diapers and sanitary towels donations from Molphis.
She emphasized that this project has given them a sense of fulfillment and because of that the club, Rotary club of Lekki Central intend to be doing this particular project every year.
They also encouraged well meaning Nigerians to borrow a leaf and try give back to the society because charity never fails.
