Security operatives have reportedly sealed some property and apprehended many persons for alleged illegal gathering at different places in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
It was alleged that the operatives acted under the order of the state government. Though, there was no official confirmation concerning the development.
But, the incident occurred days after the state governor, Nyesom Wike, raised the alarm that there was a plot by politicians to recruit ex-convicts and cultists to cause crisis in the state.
Governor Wike had in the recent state broadcast threatened to pull down hotels and entertainment centres that would be rented out for any illegal political activities.
