Nigerian Afro-fusion artist and songwriter Yang Nelson is set to kick off his 2026 musical campaign with the announcement of his highly anticipated sophomore EP, “CHELSEA.”

The 5-track project is scheduled for worldwide release on March 6th, 2026.
Leading the charge for this new era is the project’s first single, “Songbo,” which will be available on all major streaming platforms this Friday, February 20th, 2026.

Following the success of his debut project Alubarika (Blessing), Yang Nelson continues to evolve his sound, blending indigenous storytelling with modern Afrobeats rhythms. “CHELSEA” promises to be a sonic journey that highlights his versatility as a rapper and singer, offering listeners a mix of high-energy anthems and introspective tunes.

About the Single: “Songbo”
Dropping on February 20th, “Songbo” serves as the perfect introduction to the EP. The track is expected to showcase Yang Nelson’s signature flow—engaging, rhythmic, and deeply rooted in the street-hop culture that has garnered him a loyal fanbase from Iseyin to Lagos.

About the EP: “CHELSEA”
With five curated tracks, “CHELSEA” is more than just a collection of songs; it is a statement of intent. Whether inspired by the winning mentality of the football giants or a personal metaphor for luxury and blue-print success, the title suggests a project focused on victory and leveling up.

Artist Quote:
“This project is special to me. ‘CHELSEA’ represents a new league, a new mindset, and a different energy. I wanted to give my fans something that feels like a win. ‘Songbo’ is just the warm-up—get your speakers ready.” — Yang Nelson.
